Mark your calendars for the Sheep and Goat Field Day on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Benton County Fairgrounds, brought to you by the Benton County Cooperative Extension Service. This event will focus on the Reproduction and Selection of Sheep and Goats.

Schedule of Events: Saturday, February 13
9:30 am – Registration
10:00 am -noon – Reproduction workshop covering ultra-sound for pregnancy determinations, breeding soundness examinations, managing the pregnant doe or ewe, and artificial insemination. Dr. Joan Burke, Dale Bumpers Small Farm Research Center.
Noon – Lunch
12:30 – General nutrition presentation by Purina Feeds
1:00 to 3:00 – Bryan Kutz, Livestock Judging Coach, University of Arkansas: selecting sheep and goats based on conformation and an introduction to judging sheep and goats.
