Feeding

MoorMan’s ShowTec Burst Starter CTC/DEN is a complete feed specifically formulated for pigs weighing 15 to 50 pounds. Feed at the rate of 5% of body weight to provide 10 mg of chlortetracycline per pound of body weight daily. For example, feed at the rate of 1.0 lb per head per day to pigs weighing 20 lb. Feed continuously as the sole ration for 14 days. Then they should be changed to an approved ShowTec ration for pigs of this weight. Provide clean, fresh water at all times.

WARNING: Withdraw 2 days prior to slaughter.

Do not feed to animals other than swine. The effects of tiamulin on swine reproductive performance, pregnancy, and lactation have not been determined. Use as the only source of chlortetracycline and tiamulin.

Swine being treated with tiamulin should not have access to feeds containing polyether ionophores (e.g., monensin, lasalocid, semduramicin, narasin, and salinomycin) as adverse reactions may occur. If signs of toxicity occur, discontinue use of medicated feed. Protect from excessive temperatures that exceed 104°F (40°C). Do not store at warm temperatures, 104°F (40°C), for more than 7 days.
