Fall Food Plot Pick up your fall food plot seed blends at Farmers Co-op. We carry food plot seed blends from Eagle Seed, Imperial Whitetail, Pennington, and more.  We also carry a good selection of winter pea,  turnips, clover, and triticale available in one-pound packages. Choose from four different blends, specially formulated for this area of the country. Here’s a sampling of the food plot mixes we carry at Farmers Coop. Varieties vary by location

Smorgasbord – Contains Eagle’s varieties of protein-packed radishes, rapeseed kale, and collards, along with high tonnage Balansa Clover, quick-growing Berseem, and early spring growing Crimson Clover.

Buck Monster – by Eagle Seed, the exceptional forage wheat variety for your deer and for great seed yields on your farm. Buck Monster plants are tall, featuring large, long, and flashy seed heads that produce excellent quality grain for doves or turkeys.

Buffalo Fall Blend – by Eagle Seed, builds soil and provides an excellent habitat for your wildlife. This proportioned blend was designed by Dr. Grant Woods. Buffalo Fall Blend contains a quick growing clover that returns more nitrogen to your soil than other clovers. The rye, radishes, and brassicas are specifically chosen to produce an extensive root system to charge through the toughest hardpans and reduce soil compaction. The buckwheat provides a quick attractant and pulls nutrients up from the soil.

RACKMASTER Oats germinates quickly and grows fast to provide a highly palatable and irresistible food source to attract and hold whitetail deer around the food plot for the entire hunting season. Highly effective when seeded alone or in mixes with another winter annual small grains, brassica and/or cool-season annual and perennial legumes.

RACKMASTER Fall Deluxe Deer Mixture is a combination of winter annual grasses, legumes and brassica species that attract deer and provide the carbohydrates needed to help the deer herd build-up stored fat to maintain good body condition through the rut and winter stress period. Wheat, oats, rye, Austrian winter peas, crimson clover, and brassica are included in this premium seed mix – all of which supply the high protein and energy deer need during the winter season.

Buck Forage Oats are much more winter-hardy than most others. They tend to grow slower, which means more tender and palatable. Buck Forage Oats can tolerate temperatures approaching 0°. Deer will dig Buck Forage Oats out of snow cover.

Imperial Whitetail Secret Spot is an annual forage specifically designed for smaller, remote food plots – areas known only to you and your deer! Secret Spot works well in small openings in the woods, on high places in swampy areas, and in just about any area where sunlight reaches the ground – just clear the area of existing vegetation and expose the soil to ensure seed-to-soil contact.

Imperial Whitetail Vision is a fall-planted perennial that features the number-one food-plot planting in the world, plus the attraction and drought resistance of WINA-100 perennial forage chicory, and the increased early and late season tonnage and exceptional attractiveness of 210K annual forage kale.

Imperial Beets & Greens features annual seed varieties that are designed to work together to attract and hold deer throughout the fall and winter.  These include the Whitetail Institute’s proprietary kale, turnip, and radish varieties, as well as the sweet attractiveness of sugar beets.

Imperial No-Plow can give you a hardy, fast-growing crop of highly nutritious and attractive forage. No-Plow is a high-protein annual that can provide up to 9 months of attraction and nutrition for optimal deer growth and antler development — and requires minimal sunlight.

Imperial Whitetail Clover contains the only clover genetically designed for whitetail deer. Imperial Whitetail Clover has an extremely high protein content – critical for antler, muscle and bone growth and thrives in extreme cold as well as warm, dry climates.
